Viña de Aguirre

Maule, Chile

Viña de Aguirre was founded by the current owners’ grandfather Pedro Etcheberry, a French agronomist who purchased the first family vineyard in the Colchagua Valley in 1955. After acquiring more land in the Maule Valley, the family planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay vineyards in 1997.  The winery was opened in 2001. After several extensions, the bottling capacity of the winery now stands at over 14 million litres, with three bottling lines.

Located in Villa Alegre, at the heart of Chile’s largest wine region, the Maule Valley, the winery farms 520 hectares around the winery and works with another 640 hectares on short and long term contracts.

The area has a warm Mediterranean climate and the vines are drip irrigated to ensure consistent yields of high quality grapes. The winery works with the world’s most popular international varieties – Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir – as well as Viognier, Moscatel and Chile’s own variety, Carmenère.

Certified Sustainable Wine of Chile, the winery also enjoys BRC and IFS certification.

“Viña de Aguirre is in a great position to supply major retailers looking to source high volumes of great value international varietal wines, with all the guarantees offered by BRC and IFS certification.”
