Podere Casanova

Montepulciano, Italy

Our grapes ripen in rows of Sangiovese, Chardonnay, Verdello, Teroldego, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng and Grechetto vines, and are harvested manually.

They are arranged in small boxes and taken to the cellar in the “Grape Selection” department where, after a first passage in a manual selection table and a second automatic phase of sorting the beans, the selection is completed with a third passage of the manual table for the screening of the best beans.

Rosso Di Montepulciano D.O.C

Medium intensity and bright garnet red. The olfactory incipit is floral with withered roses and violets, then the ripe fruitiness emerges in a declination of morello cherry, red currant, goji berries, plum and mulberry to fade into hints of blood orange. The spicy sweetness of cinnamon, star anise and cloves broadens the olfactory profile. The taste is smooth, dynamic and full with a central strength given by the fruity freshness with full correspondence with the aromas. The tannins are ripe, well placed in the center of the mouth. The finish is tasty with a blood orange finish.

Nobile Di Montepulciano Settecento D.O.C.G.

Medium intensity garnet. Complex, expressive and decisive on the nose with violet and railway cherry jam and berries, hints of plum, dehydrated orange. Opening more and more in the glass, spices emerge: cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then it’s the turn of tobacco, cigar and china. Of great personality and intensity on the taste with a fine but tight tannin, which although characterizing the sip, is punctuated by a fruity freshness and a savory finish. The finish is very long with hints of candied orange, licorice, minty touches that amplify the aromatic persistence. A wine of great attractiveness and elegance.
