Azienda Agricola Sacco

Practicing 100% organic viticulture, the Sacco family brings respect for the land to life

Azienda Agricola Sacco

Puglia, Italy

The company was founded about 25 years ago by Vincenzo Sacco who dreamt of enhancing the reputation of this corner of Northern Puglia for winemaking excellence.  Today the company is run by Vincenzo’s sons, Matteo the winemaker and Alessandro in sales. Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do.

“The winery practices completely organic viticulture using water from their own farm and brings the concept of respect for ‘Terra Mia’ – my land – to life, observing the traditions of the Puglian location with a restlessly enthusiastic and flexible winemaking team at the helm. Using only indigenous grape varieties, the philosophy at Azienda Sacco is to fiercely protect Puglia’s sense of place, and to preserve the special identity that can only be achieved by being true to your roots.”

Sacco Unanotte Nero di Troia Rosé

This wine is named “Unanotte” as that’s the time it takes (one night) for the must to generate its attractive coral pink colour as a result of skin maceration. Designed to reflect the typical character of the Nero di Troia grape, this example has an elegant soft summer fruit profile with moderate alcohol, and boasts ICEA Organic certification.
